How Las Vegas Comes Together: #VegasStrong, PRIDE Night Parade, and More.

The Las Vegas community has come together as we’ve never seen before. From an overwhelming number of donations to the hours-long wait to give blood, our community will stand as one in the wake of tragedy. Our community can also stand together in support of important causes. We want to highlight some of the opportunities we have to stand together in Las Vegas and show the world just how #VegasStrong we can be.

Opportunities to Stand Together in Las Vegas

PRIDE Night Parade

The 19th Annual PRIDE Night Parade will be held on Friday, October 20 in downtown Las Vegas from 7 to 10 pm. The parade features Las Vegas’ gay and straight business community, nonprofit organizations, LGBT service agencies, civic groups, and churches. AAF Las Vegas is proud to participate in the parade and promote diversity in our community. We want to invite you to march with us at the PRIDE Night Parade.

Support the Las Vegas Victim’ Fund

The best ways to support the victims of the Las Vegas shooting is through donating blood, non-perishable items, or money. Donate whatever you can, as everything helps. You can also visit the Memorial Garden in Downtown, get a Las Vegas themed tattoo (be sure to donate blood before heading to the tattoo shop), or purchase a t-shirt from a reputable company that will donate proceeds to the Las Vegas Victims Fund.

Volunteer

Take this time to start getting more involved in the Las Vegas community and volunteer your time for an organization near and dear to your heart. You can volunteer with the Opportunity Village, HOPE Las Vegas, 3 Square, Catholic Charities of Southern Nevada, and more. What are some of your favorite nonprofit organizations that can use volunteers? Sign in and leave a comment to share your answer.

Whether we come together for a cause or in light of a tragic event, we are #VegasStrong and we are proud to be members of the Las Vegas community. Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims and first responders of the recent shooting. Please join us, as we come together to celebrate LOVE, at the PRIDE Night Parade happening October 20, 2017.
